I spent a very enjoyable week in the apartment in May and was most impressed by how well furnished it was - it has everything you could need - a very comfortable place to stay for a couple or a family. The town has some very pleasant bars and restaurants - we managed to eat somewhere different every night! We spent a wonderful day in Granada and several at the beach. We also explored some of the lovely mountain villages and had a great walk along part of the G7 route - the scenery was absolutely breathtaking - and we would love to return to do some more walking. Thanks for all your help and for a great holiday! 4 June 2008

The flat is spacious, light and very well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was great for cooking. All mod cons. My particular favourite was the powerful shower which is a invigorating way to start the day! Very well located right in the heart of Orgiva. Reasonable rates and a perfect base for anyone wanting to explore the area. Highly recommended!! Thanks.

The apartment is clean spacious and modern with a good bathroom and kitchen. I stayed there in February and used it as a base to go walking in the Sierra Nevada. We walked every day for ten days. On one we had a bit of cloud and a short shower but for the rest we had unbroken sunshine. Great to be in the snow at over 3,000 metres in T shirts. It really is spectacular place to walk. Orgiva has some friendly bars serving very good tapas. If you come into Orgiva from the South you will find the apartment if you turn left immediately after the Dia supermarket and then take the next left. Great value for money.

The apartment is spotlessly clean and really well equipped. It is situated in the centre of town and the good selection of bars and restaurants are just a few minutes walk away. The eating is good here and there is a broad range from which to choose. You can get good, simple set menu meals for as little as 8 Euros each or go for the formal linen tablecloth affair as your taste and purse demands. One night we decided on a night in with a DVD. Being English and missing home cooking, we went to the local takeaway and got a chicken curry! It was delicious! The takeaway is very good but out of character; this is unspoilt Spain so you won’t find Sky sports in the bars but you will get free tapas with a beer or glass of wine. For walkers this area is a haven, as Orgiva is perfectly situated in the Alpujarras. You can walk out of town and straight onto the mountain to find gentle paths or challenging climbs to suit your level. There is also climbing, riding, canoeing, mountain-biking and quad-biking, lots of stuff for those who love the outdoors. If you drive further up the mountain there are some really quaint traditional villages with craft shops and home produced foods to be found. We drove to the city of Granada, which is smart and vibrant with good shopping set amongst traditional architecture. It is only 45 minutes away but I would try the coach next time as there are some great lively little bars and restaurants in the centre. The seaside town of Salobrena is only a 40 minute drive from Orgiva and has a nice beach and good seafood restaurants. We had a nice relaxing week in a new, comfortable apartment equipped with everything you would need, nothing appears to have been overlooked, there were even children’s games and DVD’s in the cupboard.
